PROBLEM:

Oyster Bay Wines is from New Zealand, with this variety specifically coming from a region that produces unique and distinct flavors, yet the bottle's design does not reference this, instead looking like a generic New England wine.​

SOLUTION:

The updated design, including typography, imagery, and other graphics, is inspired by traditional Māori patterns and colors, making the wine's New Zealand identity much more prominent and clear. The Oyster Bay wordmark has been redesigned with the same inspiration. The copy on the front and back labels was changed to describe this wine's specific flavors, rather than the flavors of Oyster Bay wines in general. And the layout was modified slightly to enhance informational grouping and improve overall visual interest.
